Jan 10, 2012 at 09:50 pm by Unknown

The Arts Center of Cannon County will present an evening celebrating Boyd Deering’s original fiddle tunes at 7:30 this coming Friday night (1/13/2012). Fiddle duo Jim and Inge Wood will make this a performance to be remembered.

Jim is one of the most decorated contest-style fiddlers ever, is the only five-time Tennessee State Fiddle Champion. A twenty-six year veteran of the professional Nashville music scene and a talented multi-instrumentalist in a wide range of styles, Jim's roots go to the core of traditional music. Inge, a native of Costa Rica, is his perfect foil with her pure, unaffected vocals in both English and Spanish and her world-class accompaniment on guitar and bouzouki. Their chemistry is undeniable.

Ticket prices are $10 and may be purchased by call the Arts Center of Cannon County at 615-563-2787 or 1-800-235-9073. The theatre is located at 1424 John Bragg Highway in neighboring Woodbury.  You can also visit their website: www.artscenterofcc.com.
