Murfreesboro Man Saved by his Mother after Alleged Percocet Overdose

A 38-year-old man who reportedly overdosed on painkillers was rescued by his mother in Murfreesboro.

Evidently, the son had allegedly overdosed on Percocet and his 67-year-old mother called for help after administering Narcan to save him. After the Narcan was given to the man, the mother pulled her sons limp body from the couch to prepare him for CPR, however he came to by the time paramedics arrived.

As for the Percocet, police could not find where the man kept it.

No charges were filed and the man was transported to Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital.

The symptoms of an overdose are:

• bluish skin
• cold and clammy skin
• coma
• decreased or irregular breathing
• extreme sleepiness
• eyes or skin with yellow tone
• heart attack
• low blood pressure
• muscle weakness
• nausea
• slow heartbeat
• stupor
• sweating
• vague bodily discomfort
• vomiting
