An accident on I-24 near Sam Ridley Parkway in Rutherford County slowed traffic for over an hour on Tuesday afternoon. The wreck was in the outbound lanes headed towards Nashville.

WGNS spoke to Tennessee Highway Patrol Lieutenant Travis Plotzer about the wreck and he stated, "It got reported as an injury crash with lane blockage. Troopers worked quickly to get the roadway back open." Reports indicate it was not a fatality wreck, although two vehicles were completely totaled.
