School is about to restart for local students.

COUNTY: The Rutherford County system will have a half day on Tuesday, August 6th. The day will only last for two hours. The next day will be for teachers only followed by the first full day of classes on Thursday, August 8, 2019.

CITY: In the City of Murfreesboro, school will start with a half day for students in the first thru 6th grades on Wednesday, July 31, 2019. The first full day for city students will be on Monday, August 5, 2019.

Kindergarten students in the city system will have a half day on August 6th for those with a last name that starts with an A thru L. Students with last names that begin with M or Z will have their first half day on August 7th. All kindergarten students return to school for a half day on August 8th and their first full day is Friday, August 9th.
