Rutherford County Schools Growth Places the Schools as the 4th Largest District in TN

The Rutherford County System will soon be filled with students headed back to school for the 2019 - 2020 school year. The schools are also filled with employees who dedicate their time to helping children learn and grow. James Evans, Spokesperson for the Schools, stated



WGNS asked Evans how close Rutherford County ties to Knox County, Tennessee - as far as the number of school students.



Currently, Rutherford County ranks as the 4th largest school district in the state with 48 schools, just under Knox County, TN which comes in at number 3 on the list.

You may recall, the Rutherford County School District passed Hamilton County, TN in size in 2018.

Rocky Fork Elementary and Rockvale High Schools will be the latest NEW schools to open within the Rutherford County system.
