CANNON COUNTY: Be On The Lookout, Called Off

A manhunt has ended in Cannon County for a man armed with a large knife and facing a slew of charges. The search for the man was called off on Thursday morning, despite authorities not finding him yet. Law enforcement are still keeping their eyes open for 29 year old Michael Holden Thomas, but are no longer actively searching the area for Thomas.

According to Sheriff Darrell Young, the suspect is facing at lease 3 counts of aggravated kidnapping, aggravated domestic assault.

The Sheriff's Department was dispatched Wednesday morning near sunrise with a call that a woman and three children were being held at a home on Locke Creek Road. Shortly after the call, the search for Thomas began.

Thomas was last seen wearing blue jeans and no shirt, he also has pierced nipples. The suspect was last seen on Hoover Mill Road. This is the section of the highway between John Bragg Highway and Murfreesboro Pike.
