I-24 Closed Wednesday Due To Diesel Spill

(MURFREESBORO) Around 4:45 Wednesday (7/31/2019) afternoon a semi carrying chocolate milk, was traveling eastboud (toward Chattanooga) on I-24. It hit a ladder on the road and ruptured the fuel tank on the big rig.

Two lanes of I-24 east near the 73 mile marker (between I-840 and Almaville Road) were closed as emergency personnel worked to contain leaking diesel fuel.
