(La Vergne, Tenn. - September 25, 2019) The City of La Vergne Channel 3 will be down for a few weeks while the station undergoes a major upgrade.
Channel 3 will go offline on October 2nd around 7:00 a.m. It is not expected to be back online until October 15th at the earliest. Videos of meetings will still be posted in a timely manner to the City of La Vergne's YouTube page in the interim.
Unfortunately, the video recording system crashed several months ago as preparations for the studio upgrade were being finalized. There was no way to get the system to be operational again.
"Modernizing our city systems is important as we keep growing," says Mayor Jason Cole. "It's important that we continue to broadcasting for our city meetings to meet our high level of transparency to the public as well as being able to off new ADA compliant features."
The repairs were budgeted in the 2018-19 and 2019-20 fiscal year budgets and will cost approximately $220,000
