(MURFREESBORO) There were "drug take backs" all over Tennessee on Saturday (10/26/2019), and the DEA event that was at the Rutherford County Sheriffs Office, 940 New Salem Highway, took-in 220 pounds of unused, expired and unwanted prescriptions.

Forty-nine pounds of the prescriptions were collected at St. Thomas Hospital.

People unable to bring back these prescriptions may dispose of the medicine anytime in a bin located just inside the main lobby near the flagpole at the Sheriff's Office at 940 New Salem Highway. There is also a secure collection 24-7 at the Murfreesboro Police Department at Highland Avenue.
