UPDATE: A New City School in Murfreesboro

Jan 25, 2012 at 06:24 am by Unknown

The Murfreesboro School Board has presented the idea of spending over $20-million dollars on a new city school for K thru 6th grade students to the Murfreesboro City Council. If the council gives the nod, then the school board can begin the process of finding and securing land for the future school to be constructed on. The schools need about 30-acres to construct a new facility on. The schools will be looking to the area of Cason Lane and Highway 99 to construct a school. That area is already served by Scales Elementary and Cason Lane Academy, but new residents in that area and new homes being built are causing the need for another school.
