(MURFREESBORO) There was a four-vehicle crash around 6:15PM Sunday evening on I-24 at Almaville Road (mile marker 70).

Four persons were trapped. Paramedics from the Rutherford County Emergency Medical Services treated two on-the-scene and transported them to the ER with non life-threatening injuries.

In addition to the ambulance service and RCFR, responders from the Almaville Volunteer Fire Department and the Rutherford County Sheriffs Office worked the crash.

This was the first day of being off daylight savings time, so sunset was around 4:00 o'clock, therefore it was total darkness when the crash occurred.
