More boat trailers have been reported as stolen by several boat owners at Fate Sanders Marina. The trailers that are stolen often go missing without the boat owner noticing for weeks and even months at a time because the boat owners seldom need their trailer - - due to the fact that their boat is docked at the marina. After the trailers are stolen, they are often sold as scrap metal. When a stolen trailer is dropped off at a nearby scrap metal yard, the trailers are crushed and the person who dropped the trailer off is paid between $200 and $300. So far, no arrests have been made.
