(MURFREESBORO) Read To Succeed's Annual Celebrity Spelling Bee drew a packed barn Thursday night at the Grove at Williamson Place, and Simply Pure Sweets' Matthew Joseph tastily defeated Principals Judy Goodwin and Don Bartch along with MMC's CFO Matthew Stearns in some hot rounds toward the end.

The word "clandestine" put Matthew in the winner's circle.

With the spotlight on and surrounded by cheering fans, he commented . . .

When asked about the amount of money raised, Read To Succeeds' Executive Director Jolene Radnoti told WGNS . . .

The area's "ONE BOOK, ONE COMMUNITY" was announced. It will be A. J. Jacob's It's All Relative, a romp up and down the world's family tree with an exploratory adventure in genealogy and kinship.
