Murfreesboro continues to look outside the box to fund changes and growth patterns. One subject that has come up several times includes the city selling Murfreesboro Electric to Middle Tennessee Electric (MTEMC). With such a sale, the city would likely be able to pay for road construction and more with the proceeds from the electric company.
