(MURFREESBORO) On Saturday (12/7/2019) afternoon units from Rutherford County Fire Rescue answered a chimney fire call to Crosspark Drive.

The county's unit RE-60 began a rapid initial attack, while RE-51 checked for extension and found none. The term "extension" means means the fire has extended into concelaed spaces within the building. "Checking for extension" means that firefighters are opening up concealed spaces to see if the fire has extended to other parts of the building

This subdivision is in an island of land that is in the county and bordered by city zoning. It is behind the Chamber of Commerce and between Medical Center Parkway and the Stones River Battlefield.
