(MURFREESBORO) Right now, while schools are closed for Christmas, the Extended School Program continues at five different locations from 6:00 each morning until 6:00 in the evening. Plus, any child can eat there or pick-up a snack pack--no questions asked.

When the Murfreesboro City Schools say that they focus on the well-being of the whole child, they mean it.

Plus, for those attending Extended School Programs, they get supervision and learn valuable lessons.

That was City Schools Communications Director Lisa Trail.

Locations include Blackfox, John Pittard, Northfield, Salem and Scales Elementary Schools.

And whether students are attending ESP or not, they can still visit those locations and eat or pickup a snack pack.

Assistant Communications Director Tori Carr concluded, "We just can't have children going hungry."
