Apparently, a small truck attempted to change lanes on I-24 East near South Church Street and in doing so, was struck by a tractor trailer truck. The passenger in the small truck that was hit by the semi was killed instantly and the driver was flown by LifeFlight Helicopter to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville. WGNS spoke to the Tennessee Highway Patrol on Tuesday afternoon and they did not have the names of the victims to release at this time.
