Major Joe Irvin, who heads up the Rutherford County Salvation Army, is currently helping out in tornado ravaged areas of eastern Middle Tennessee.

Irvin tells NewsRadio WGNS he's currently serving as the Army's liaison with the Putnam County E-O-C. He arrived Wednesday and will be there a few days they work through the recovery process.
