MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - In celebration of Youth Art Month, Bradley Academy Museum and Cultural Center staff invites the public to "The Roots Exhibit" featuring over 500 pieces of art created by students ages 5-18 in Rutherford County. The exhibit runs through March 31.
These works of art showcase the heritage of the diverse community and represent the many different cultures, traditions and backgrounds within Rutherford County.
The free event will include two separate exhibit openings for elementary and high school artists in the Steve Matthews Gallery at the museum.
Bradley Academy Museum and Cultural Center is located at 415 S. Academy Street. The current structure was built in 1917 for the new school for African American students in 1918. Today, along with historic exhibits, it houses a classroom original to the building.
