There was an early morning fire on Sunday at a Murfreesboro business. The showroom of The House of Carpet went up in flames at 3:30 in the morning. The Murfreesboro Fire Department responded to the scene and extinguished the blaze before it got out of control. The Fire Marshal’s office is investigating the fire to determine what caused the building to go up in flames. Assistant Chief and Public Information Officer Allen Swader told the DNJ the building is now owned by First Bank.
