(Murfreesboro, TN) Greenhouse Ministries CEO, Bill Rawnsley, announced Friday that he is stepping down after 2+ years. Bill accepted the position as CEO during a time of transition when founders, Cliff and Jane Sharp, were reducing their day-to-day activities and Greenhouse needed new leadership. Bill had been volunteering with Greenhouse for several years and provided decades of corporate and ministry experience to the ministry.
"Working for Greenhouse Ministries has been one of the highlights of my life and career. While my intent from the start was for my time as CEO to be short-term, Greenhouse will always be near and dear to my heart and life as a believer. Cliff and Jane Sharp aren't only community heroes, but they've been mentors to me and countless others. I'm confident that I'm leaving Greenhouse in a great position to continue to assist distressed families and individuals in our community--helping them live better lives--and the organization is poised for having an even greater impact on the community", stated Bill Rawnsley, Greenhouse Ministries, CEO.
Greenhouse Ministries employs nearly a dozen full and part time professionals as well as partnering with over 30 local churches and hundreds of volunteers to meet the direct needs of adults and children in Rutherford County.
Taking the helm as CEO at Greenhouse is Phillip Street. Phillip is an executive at Nissan North America and brings both his corporate executive experience and his many years in ministry to Greenhouse Ministries. Phillip recently stated, "I am extremely excited to be joining Greenhouse Ministries to fulfill my desire to Love God and Love People. This is my passion and I can only thank God for this great opportunity to work alongside Cliff and Jane as we continue to bring hope into our community.
