The Blackman Community Club has awarded two scholarships to local high school graduates.
This year's recipients of 750-dollar scholarships are Jacob Reed of Blackman High School and Morgan Herring from Stewarts Creek High School.
Reed is the son of Ken and Lori Reed. He is attending Freed-Hardeman University and will be majoring in Education.
The Blackman Community Club honors one graduating senior of Stewarts Creek High School and Blackman High School with a $750 scholarship to be used towards a university, college, or technical school to further their education. They also consider those students who have completed a home school curriculum, seniors who attend Central Magnet school or a Christian based schooling who live in the Blackman Community.
