(MURFREESBORO) Best wishes to Sergeant Jimmy Cassidy with the Rutherford County Sheriffs Office. After 24-years with them, he is retiring July 6, 2020 to accept a high school position, teaching criminal justice in the Rutherford County Schools system.

In appreciation to his work with the Citizens Police Academy, the Alumni recognized him for his support over the years.

Cassidy also is the sheriff's representative with the Senior Citizens Awareness Network (SCAN), and is a regular guest on WGNS' law enforcement focused radio broadcasts.
