State Representative Joe Carr wants to tax porn. Tennessee has the highest divorce rate, and this Rutherford County Republican feels pornography destroys families. He told WGNS News . . .
HB 3081 Could Generate $56-Million Annually
That translates into $124-million in pornographic material is sold in the Volunteer State each year. Carr's HB 3081 is moving slowly through the House.
He also commented that in the 107th General Assembly that laws dealing with eliminating taxpayer benefits to illegal aliens continue to hit brick walls. In addition, he notes that the sale of wine in grocery stores appears to be a dead issue.
On the last Friday of each month, WGNS invites elected state officials from Rutherford County to update us on issues before the General Assembly. The next broadcast will be on March 30th.
