On I-24 westbound in Rutherford County near the Davidson County line a tractor trailer truck overturned. Reports indicate that Life Flight helicopter had to be called in to transport one accident victim to Vanderbilt Medical Center. The wreck occurred shortly before 8:30, Wednesday morning and involved two semi trucks that collided at the 83-mile marker. 

Bad Day For This Section of I-24

Mid-afternoon brought another big rig wreck along the same stretch of I-24 later Wednesday. Wreckers pulled the 18-wheeler out of the lower land alongside the road bed while the Tennessee Highway Patrol worked to keep the snail-speed traffic around the 65-mile marker on westbound I-24 from causing another crash. The clean-up took several hours.
