The new Kids Castle in the Old Fort Park is going to be better then the existing playground. That news according to the Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation Department. The new Kids Castle will be constructed at a cost of $300,000. 50-Percent of that money will come from a Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation grant and 50-percent will come from the City of Murfreesboro.

Miracle Recreation Equiptment Company from Clarkson, Kentucky was chosen as the contractor for the new playground. You may recall the original playground was built with the help of volunteers in 1995. This time around, the playground will be built by professionals.
