FriendSupport, a non-profit organization based in Murfreesboro, is hosting its 3rd Annual Golf
Tournament Fundraiser on Saturday, April 21st at Indian Hills Golf Course.
FriendSupport raises money for families and individuals with extreme medical expenses. FriendSupport was born when a group came together to host a benefit golf tournament for a friend incurring overwhelming medical expenses while being treated for cancer. Due to the success and community support of that event, the group decided to continue to raise money for others in need and officially became a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in 2011. Recently, it awarded two college scholarships to students who qualified for assistance.
The Golf Tournament is a shotgun scramble beginning at 1 p.m. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. The
cost is $400/team. Golfers will be treated to 2 meals (1 at kickoff party Friday and 1 after tournament
on Saturday), free admission to golf kickoff party, Cart Rental and Greens fees, free range balls, and
player gift bags (up to 4 players per team).
Jenna Willis said, "The fun starts Friday night April 20th with a party and silent auction at the Indian Hills clubhouse." That dinner is provided by Camino Real along with the Dirty Cherry band providing music for a dance. The night even includes a silent auction. Tickets are $35 per person. Educators and Students get in for $20 per person. There is no charge for golfers playing in the tournament. There will be many great silent auction items for guests to bid on! For example, Southwest Airlines has donated two round-trip tickets with no restrictions or black-out dates. Other items include an autographed baseball from David Price, a Jack Daniels custom guitar, and a will/estate planning package.
