Is the "fitness of our youth" brighter in the future? Dr. Robert Malina weighs-in on that topic in a free public address at 7:00 o'clock this comingTuesday night, April 17th, in Room 160 of MTSU’s College of Education Building.
Dr. Malina is professor emeritus in the Department of Kinesiology and Health Education at the University of Texas at Austin and research professor in the Department of Health and Physical Education at Tarleton State University.
His research has focused on the biological growth and maturation of children and adolescents with an emphasis on motor development and performance, physical activity and young athletes.
He also has studied the influence of physical activity and training on youth sport and written about the emergence of excess weight among rural indigenous youth in southern Mexico.
