Remember the story you heard on WGNS about the woman who claims she was attacked outside of her apartment by an unknown man. Police have now closed the files on that case. The incident occurred at an apartment on Greenland Drive near MTSU. The 34-year old victim told authorities that she was attacked by a man after going to the laundry room to check on her clothes. The female said the attack happened outside her apartment door. She told police she was slashed across the chest by the attacker who used a box cutter as a weapon. Police closed the case because of inconsistencies in the victims story. No charges will be filed.
