Former Vice Mayor Chris Bratcher got quite the surprise Thursday night at the May 17th meeting of the Murfreesboro City council, when he was honored with a bridge that will soon come to bear his name in the McFadden area.  Additionally, the Deputy Fire Chief applied for the 2013 State Farm Grant, $14,500 to go toward funding in the disaster preparedness and recovery category.  One public hearing was held to amend 22.6 acres along Florence Road , and finally a few minor rate changes will soon be coming your way from the Water & Sewer Department.
