City School Offers Summer Food Program

The Murfreesboro City School system is participating in a federal breakfast-lunch program for qualified students over the summer break.

The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) at nine locations. The program offers free healthy meals and a snack for children 18 years of age and under without regard to race, color, national origin, sex, age or handicap. Children do not have to register in advance, simply stop by any of the locations at the designated times to enjoy a healthy meal or snack.

When and Where

The program is available Mondays through Fridays, however it will not be offered this Monday, Memorial Day. Breakfast is served between 9:00 and 9:30 each morning, lunch is noon to 12:30, and snacks are offered between 2:30 to 3:00 on scheduled afternoons. 
 
The city proigram is served at Franklin Heights Family Learning and Resource Center, Oakland Court
Center, Patterson Park, McFadden Center, Black Fox Elementary, Mitchell-Neilson Elementary, Northfield Elementary, Bradley Elementary, and John Pittard Elementary.
