A Murfreesboro man has been arrested and charged with passing two forged checks at the Bank of America. Murfreesboro Police were called to the bank at 120 East Main Street where Charles Yaney was attempting to cash a $560 check made out to him by a second party.

Bank officials were called, because they became suspicious when the Middle Tennessee Boulevard branch alerted them that the same man attempted to cash a personal check for that amount earlier in the day. Further investigating showed that on May 23rd Yaney allegedly passed a $660 check at the that branch which turned out to be fraudulent.

Murfreesboro Police Detective Vongphakdy, Charles Yaney was arrested and charged with two counts of forgery. The checks used were the property of two county residents with whom Yaney earlier lived.
