With local unemployment in the 7 per cent range, Nissan is challenged to find a thousand new persons to fill needs brought on by expansion at the Smyrna complex. They are looking for full-time assembly, warehouse and maintenance workers. The massive auto manufacturer has basically doubled the size of their factory with the introduction of the Leaf battery powered car.

A job fair is scheduled from 9:00 o'clock this Saturday (6/2/2012) morning until 2:00 in the afternoon at the Murfreesboro Career Center. This is the technology school at  1313 Old Fort Parkway, across from the Old Fort Park.

Persons who wish to be considered for one of the jobs at Nissan, should bring proof of high school graduation or a GED certificate. Each must also pass a background check. Applicants also should bring a resume and two forms of identification.

Again, the job fair seeking a thousand full-time workers for Nissan will be from 9:00 to 2:00 this Saturday at the Murfreesboro Career Center, 1313 Old Fort Parkway.
