Farmers in Rutherford County are worried about their crops. The dry weather conditions have wreaked havoc on local farms in Tennessee. Right now, cattle are having problems finding grass to eat. The heat is also curbing the growth of corn in Tennessee. Plants like tomatoes, cucumbers and eggplants are not growing any larger due to a lack of rain. In fact, it is so dry that weeds are not even growing. Tenneessee has a $20-billion dollar farming industry, but that number will likely fall this year.
