A resident of Woods Edge Drive in Murfreesboro off of Halls Hill Pike reported a shooting last week. Evidently, the homeowner heard several popping sounds during the early morning hours and thought it was fireworks. Hours later when she got up for work, she discovered a bullet hole in her living room wall. Police responded and found bullet casings in the street near her home. So far, no suspects have been named.
A second resident on Madison Avenue, several miles away, reported the same thing. The Madison Avenue resident told police he heard a gunshot just before 2-AM and when he woke up he discovered a bullet hole in his window and wall.
No one was injured in either of the two incidents.
