A 33-year old Murfreesboro man has been arrested on aggravated statutory rape charges. Evidently, the victim reported to her school resource officer that Eugene Samuel Thomas III gave her marijuana on several occasions. The teen told authorities that during one incident, Thomas forced himself on her while in a hotel room. The teen told police that she told Thomas “No” several times.

The case was presented to a grand jury and Thomas was indicted on one count of aggravated statutory rape, possession of marijuana and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The Bridgett Road man will appear in Circuit Court on July 16 at 9 in the morning.
