Woman Who Murdered MTSU Basketball Star Sentenced to 29-Years in Prison

Shanterrica Madden was sentenced Tuesday (7/17/2012) in court. Madden is the woman who killed her roommate Tina Stewart at Raiders Crossing Apartments in 2011. Madden was sentenced to 25-years in prison on a second degree murder charge and 4-years on a charge of tampering with evidence. Madden will have to serve all 29-years consecutively in a state prison.

Rutherford County Judge Don Ash announced the sentence on July 17th. Madden's verdict was handed down in the Rutherford County Judicial Building on Monday, May 14, 2012, by a jury comprised of Hamilton County (Chattanooga) residents. They deliberated two-hours before making their decision.
