Special Kids to Hold Pediatric Conference

Local nonprofit Special Kids will hold the 10th Annual Special Kids Pediatric Conference on September 28-30 at Victory Christian Center in Murfreesboro, TN, presented by the Jennings & Rebecca Jones Foundation and Belmont University.

The conference will introduce attendees to assessment and treatment through the current Neuro-Developmental Treatment (NDT) approach, covering assessment, task, analysis, treatment planning, and treatment skills.

Both conference instructors approach the three-day course with over 30 years of experience. Physical therapist Kacy Hertz is the co-owner of City Kids, Inc., a pediatric therapy center offering physical, occupational, speech and language, and developmental therapy services. She is a Neuro-Developmental Treatment Association Coordinator Instructor, a NDT certified instructor and therapist, and a certified Kinesio Tape provider. Madonna Nash, a registered and licensed occupational therapist, is also the co-owner of City Kids, Inc. She is a NDT/Bobath Instructor and certified Kinesio Tape provider.

The Special Kids 10th Annual Pediatric Conference will begin each day at 8:30 a.m. and end at 5:00 p.m., including labs for hands-on experience and practice. This course will aid both new and experienced physical and occupational therapists.

The conference is limited to 24 participants, and prospective attendees are encouraged to apply early.
