A robber changed his mind and decided not to take anything after pulling a gun on a clerk at a South Church Street gas station on Thursday morning. An employee at Uncle Sandy’s gas station near Cracker Barrel, told police a man with his face covered by a scarf entered the store around 1 in the morning and pulled out a silver revolver. The culprit then yelled for the clerk to give him the money. Panicking, the clerk dove to the floor. The employee told officers she stayed on the floor until the subject left. Evidently, the subject left empty handed, because the store employee never opened the cash register. The good news… No one was injured and nothing was taken. The bad news… the robber got-a-way.
