A big weekend win for the Blue Raider basketball team, as they defeated previously undefeated Ole Miss 65-62. Over six-thousand filled the Murphy Center to watch the Big Blue's win! With the win, Middle Tennessee improves to 7-and-2. They will hit the road Thursday to play in-state foe Belmont. Chip Walters will have the live play-by-play on WGNS beginning at 5:30.

Stifling defensive pressure by No. 6 Kentucky limited Middle Tennessee as the Blue Raiders dropped a 68-46 decision to the Wildcats on Sunday afternoon. The 8-1 Lady Wildcats forced 33 Lady Raider turnovers. Middle Tennessee take an 11 day break as final exams are in full swing this week. MT returns to Sun Belt Conference play against FIU on Thursday, Dec. 20. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. inside the Murphy Center. Our pregame will begin at 6:30 here on WGNS.

Also, this week is a busy one on State Farm Prep Basketball. Bryan Barrett and Jon Dinkins will broadcast Shelbyville at Smyrna Tuesday, Siegel at Franklin Friday and Saturday afternoon's matchup between the Riverdale Lady Warriors and Memphis Central. The Riverdale boys will play Marshall County right after. Coverage Tuesday and Friday begins at 5:45 while coverage of the Saturday games begin at 3:45pm.
