Boys & Girls Clubs of Rutherford County is pleased to announce that they have been selected as an official partner of Payless Gives TM Shoes 4 Kids, an annual giving program from Payless Shoe Source. The Boys & Girls Clubs will be distributing merchandise certificates for children’s shoes to 200 of their local members.
The Boys & Girls Clubs mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need them most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens.
This is the fifth year of the Payless Gives TM Shoes 4 Kids program. Although studies show that properly fitting shoes are important for children’s health and development, a striking number of children do not own a pair of shoes that fit. They are working to remedy that problem here in Rutherford County.
By helping families who struggle to provide their children with basic essentials on a daily basis, Boys & Girls Clubs, in partnering with the Payless GivesTM Shoes 4 Kids program, hopes to relieve some of the stress parents feel during the holidays and bring joy to as many children as possible.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Rutherford County, founded in 1986, is a non-profit, privately-funded 501(c)(3) organization and depends on private donations and volunteers to accomplish its mission. The Clubs annually serve some 2,600 youth.
