No injuries were reported during a storm Wednesday that damaged property and downed trees from Eagleville to Walter Hill, a Rutherford County sheriff’s supervisor said.
The home of Eagleville Mayor Sam Tune on Allisona Road and another home on North Main Street sustained damage, said Patrol Sgt. Chris Kauffman. The storm blew metal off a barn and caused structural damage to a porch on Allisona Road. A garage and carport were damage on Cranor Road in the Kittrell community.
Sheriff Robert Arnold said trusties from the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center were clearing trees on Elm Street in Eagleville and other locations in the county. Sgt. Kauffman said power was restored in Eagleville while telephone service was being repaired.
