TN Zero will hold an event to discuss juvenile crime that is impacting Rutherford County on February 27th. The event will be at Blackman High School on Blaze Drive.

The topic will revolve around juvenile crime recidivism and how a community must come together to bring a greater awareness to crimes that juveniles commit and / or are exposed to.

One of the key items to be discussed will be drugs and gang activity in the Volunteer State. Kathy Hines, the President of TN Zero, told WGNS…

Another topic that will be covered deals with child sex trafficking. In 2011, the TN Bureau of Investigation issued a report on human sex trafficking and its impact on children and youths in Tennessee. According to a focus group that is outlined in the report, “The focus group believed that there was a significant amount of sex trafficking in the Middle Tennessee area because of the interstate system as well as trade shows and conventions.”

Again, the event will be on Wednesday, February 27th at Blackman High School. It is free and open to the public.
