Was it a failed robbery attempt or a mistake? A skate boarder said  that he was standing in the parking lot of a business on Greenland Drive Monday afternoon when he was approached by a subject wearing a bandanna over his face. Fearing he was about to be robbed the victim swung his skateboard at the suspect. The victim then took off on foot and ran to a safe place to call 9-1-1. Authorities arrived and spotted the suspects’ vehicle on East Main Street.

The culprit was pulled over and as it turned out he was wanted for violating his probation, which in his case was a felony crime. During the traffic stop authorities say they found a pistol under the driver's seat. That gun  turned out to be a BB gun. The subject was arrested and taken to jail. 21-Year old Jeremiah White from Smyrna was placed under a $35,000 bond. He will have to appear in Circuit Court in the near future.
