A 33-year old woman and a 34-year old man arrested in February and charged with child abuse will appear in General Sessions Court on Thursday (4/18/13).  The record of arrest filed by Detective Tommy Roberts of the Murfreesboro Police Department shows that Amber Diaz and Larry Boleyjack II have been accused of physically abusing a 13-year old girl.  

 

The young teenager had injuries to her face, arms, back and one of her legs. Police met with the teen at the Department of Children Services office and photographed the victim to document all of her injuries after the incident was reported to MPD.

 

The report shows that Diaz and Boleyjack allegedly physically abused the teen for using makeup that belonged to Diaz. The report suggested that Diaz had initiated the assault after a night of drinking alcohol. The reported assault occurred at 3 in the morning and the child was evidently awakened to be assaulted, according to the actual report on file with the Murfreesboro Police Department. 

 

DCS is now handling the welfare of the child, but information in regards to the child’s wellbeing cannot and will not be released due to the age of the victim.  

 

Diaz and Boleyjack will each face a single charge of child abuse in court on Thursday.

 

Both suspects were booked into the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center on the night of the alleged assault and later released within two hours after posting bond.
