District 7-Triple-A Tournament action continues here in Murfreesboro. In softball, Riverdale's Caylee Porter hit a two-run walk-off homer to beat Oakland 3-to-1 while Smyrna edged Siegel 1-nothing. La Vergne will play Oakland at 3 this (Wednesday) afternoon and Blackman verses Siegel at 5 in the loser's bracket. Winners advance and losers are eliminated. Also tonight, and on WGNS, Bryan Barrett and Jon Dinkins will have the winner's bracket final between #1 Smyrna and #2 Riverdale. The game is slated for a 7pm first pitch. We also plan to broadcast the district championship game this Friday night, beginning at 5:45pm.

In baseball, Riverdale defeated Oakland 8-2 and it was Siegel eliminating Blackman from the tournament and ending their season with a 12-1 win over the Blaze. La Vergne will play Siegel this afternoon at 4:30. The winner of that game will play Oakland in the losers bracket finals. Riverdale awaits whoever comes out of that loser's bracket on Thursday to play for the district championship. WGNS will have coverage of that game beginning just before 4:30.
