There was a fire in LaVergne on Tuesday evening. The fire occurred at Parthenon Metal Works on Murfreesboro Road. The company manufactures parts for car companies like Toyota and Infinity. They make items like seat frames.

The fire started after oil gathered in a scrap metal pit. It was lit when a metal cutting device caught on fire igniting the oil.

No one was injured and the fire was out within a matter of minutes. Despite the quick response of the fire department, over 100 workers had to be evacuated from the building.
