A Murfreesboro woman fell victim to a Mystery Shopper scam in recent days. The victim, who is 62-years old age, told police she received five checks though UPS and one check via the regular U-S Postal Service. The victim says she cashed 3 of the checks.

The woman claims she wired money on 3 occasions back to the company that sent her the checks to begin with, as she was instructed to do as a mystery shopper. Evidently she was supposed to keep a portion of the money for herself and send some of it back. At this point it looks as if the woman is out $5,040.

No arrests have been made and no suspects have been named.
