A Sonic Drive In Employee on Memorial Boulevard was the victim of an attempted armed hold up this past weekend. The victim told authorities that as he was walking to his car to take a deposit to the bank, a man with a bandanna over his face approached him on foot. The victim was able to make it to his car and lock the doors before the thug made contact with him.

Once in his car the masked man tried to break open the victims’ window, according to an incident report on file at the Murfreesboro Police Department. The victim quickly drove away and by the time police arrived on the scene, the subject was gone. So far an arrest has not been made.

The culprit is described as a black male wearing dark clothing and a bandanna over his face. He was armed with what appeared to be a black semi-auto handgun.
